It’s been a while…

Life can lead us in many directions, some times all at once. When it feels like you are doing nothing but going around and around in circles, with the occasional triangle thrown in, it can be hellish trying to keep going, or to know which direction you are going in. Then, without warning, the circling slows down, or stops altogether and you can regain some semblance of control. That’s where I have been.

The circles I was running around in have been wonderful.

One was my family. Through the holiday season, some dramatic moments, some life path alterations, I took time to focus on those people that mean the most to me in my every day life. It was time to regroup, to say the things we forget to say, to just “be”.

One circle was a charity event that I help to organize. It is a fantastic roller coaster of energy and drama in its own right, blending the personalities of forty individuals into one spectacular evening of song and stage. The background work of creating the show and organizing the events are invigorating and draining at the same time. With this annual event complete, now comes the withdrawal effect, the decrease in communication with this group of friends, and the return to a slower pace.

Another circle was the addition of line dancing classes I have begun teaching to a group of seniors in my local area. I am truly enjoying the experience and it is expanding my ability to think and adjust my repertoire on the fly. That is a good thing no matter what your age is.

Add to this the ever present family business that keeps food on my table. Oh, and one must not forget my two protectors who need my attention and walks every day. They fill up the quiet times with their boundless energy and rumbling.

Somewhere in there, I am still finding time to work on my novel (it’s 2/3’s done) and other creative pastimes which fill a need in my soul, one which we should all embrace — the need to create something, whether it be for ourselves or to give anyway with the intent of brightening someone’s day.

And then there is the upswing in my personal business — this one — where more and more people know what I do and are inclined to hire me for a bit of guidance in their own chaotic lives. I am grateful to all of you who are following me on this journey and who trust me to bring some clarity to your own personal journey.

It is my intention to provide more training on this site over the upcoming year. I will be creating the content as I am drawn to it, but can often be persuaded to develop training based on my audience.
